About Dr Lisa McGrory

Having completed her undergraduate training at the University of New South Wales, Lisa completed her physician training at St George Hospital, then her Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at St George and Gosford Hospitals, obtaining her fellowship in 2022. She then spent a year at the Royal Adelaide Hospital completing a fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal ultrasound at one of Australia’s foremost expert centres, before returning as a Staff Specialist to Gosford and Wyong Hospitals in 2023.

Lisa is passionate about the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease, and establishing sub-specialty care for patients suffering from these diseases on the Central Coast. She has established a much needed specialist IBD clinic at Gosford Hospital with multidisciplinary input from other experts and also cares for complex IBD patients through her private rooms.

 

She is also a skilled endoscopist and provides services at Gosford Private Hospital and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors, and has published a number of peer reviewed research papers. She has presented at both Australian and international conferences.
